Cochise Soulstar is a Chicago emcee [Old Gold Electric, Soulnerdrecords] and Nerd Supreme. A comics fan since the ‘80s, he earned his geek stripes in the 2000s working his way through design college as a manager at Wicker Park institution Brainstorm Comics. In 2011 he leveled up and bought the store. Nowadays Cochise can be found on stage with his hip-hop crew, Waffle Gang, and spearheading the Made at Mess podcast Fly Nerd Group.

Cos-G is a polymath and geek culture enthusiast. Raised on Chicago’s South Side, Cos came up through the ranks of Chicago’s hip-hop scene as Cosmo Galactus, finding success as solo emcee, producer, and as a member of the Nacrobats super-crew. His forthcoming album, Jenora Roc, will be released this fall on the Culture Power 45 label. Cos works as a freelance photographer, and has documented Chicago hip-hop performers in his book of photography, “Headliners” [WaveCloud].
